I recently got an email with some questions concerning Norwex & E-cloth, how they worked and where they were manufactured.  Here is my response to the email:

Norwex is made in China and E-cloth is made in mainly in Korea.  The “microfiber” technology is very advanced in Asia.  When it comes to textiles, Asian countries have far superior quality than any where else in the world.  We can’t compare to them here in the States.

Norwex® is e-cloth’s biggest competitor® (or is it the other way around? :)  The both came into existence in the mid ’90’s are are very common in Europe – always have been.  They are almost identical in performance.  Some reviews say that e-cloth preforms better than Norwex (or Enjo).  The biggest difference is price!  E-cloth is much easier on the budget.  MyEcloth ship worldwide too :)

The way e-cloths perform is really hard for Americans to grasp because we are so used to chemicals and the “smell” of clean that marketing has had us believe.  Traditional Americans use chemicals to kill bacteria on contact, hoping they really are killed.  And then using paper towels or cotton towels to try and wipe up.  Neither work well at removing residue.

E-cloth’s work by actually removing the bacteria, grime, dirt, and grease residue from the surface. No more hoping and depending on a chemical to kill everything it touches… do you always take the time to wait for the chemical to work?!  That is way you only need water, because the cloth itself will remove over 99% of all bacteria from your surface. The silver embedded into the cloth dramatically inhibits the bacteria growth within the cloth itself in between laundering it.

The Glass and Polish cloth also removes 99% of all bacteria.  It replaces Windex® and actually works better.  Windex starts to build up over time and that is why you can’t clean in the sunshine and the window or mirrow never looks like it did when it was new.  There is a hint of residue.  You will notice a HUGE difference with the Polish cloth. No residue (unless you are scrubbing off the left over residue from previous chemicals).  The chrome in your bathroom will shine, your granite counter tops will look brand new without those frustrating water spots and the stainless steel appliances stay spotless.  Get rid of that nasty stainless polish that stinks SO bad.

I’ll mention one more benefit (there are many more I could talk about  :)  Since there is no chemical/soap residue, the surface will stay cleaner for longer.  That residue attracts the dirt in the air and doesn’t stay clean very long.  At first I didn’t understand how something could stay cleaner, longer… if my lifestyle is the same… but now it makes sense why it’s true.  It really is!

Professional E-cloth with silver embedded:

• I bought a two-pack of the general purpose cloths. Among the many uses, I found they lift out stains! One of my daughters smeared some blackberries on our chair cushion at dinner. I figured I’d wipe up most of the mess with my e-cloth and treat it later. To my surprise, as I wiped, the stain disappeared! As with everything else so far, it took little effort. It also got spaghetti sauce out of my couch.

 

• I was pleasantly surprised to find that the e-cloths wipe up grease with no problem. My dishes are always squeaky clean and my counters wipe clean with little effort. It’s amazing. I love what they can do with just a little water. :)

 

• It seems every time I use my e-cloths I get a new surprise. I decided to try them on our walls where my daughter had written with a pen. The mark didn’t come off entirely, but it did lighten it quite a bit. While wiping, I decided to scrub at some other smudges. They came off smooth as butter and the paint was still on the wall! WAY better than a magic eraser and far easier on my hands and wrists. :)

 

• It’s been perfect for my 2 and 3 year old girls. They LOVE to help me clean and these are so easy to give them. All I need is water and they can wipe up whatever they want, wherever they want. They also happen to be colors my girls love, which is more fun for them!

 

• When my package came in the mail, the first thing I tested my new e-cloths on was my kitchen counters. They were messy from making dinner…I had water, crumbs, and even some spots where food had dried. Typically, I’d be scrubbing at those spots, but the e-cloth picked everything up like I was just wiping up water. It was amazing! I was so excited to try them on other things and I’ve been increasingly pleased with the results.

E-Cloth Dusting Cloths

• These dusters are super. I can dust, on average, two rooms per cloth. I used to use old rags or towels, and I’d use 3-4 per room. Plus you don’t need any dusting polish! I love them and will be buying more.

 

• These really are amazing for the swiffer! Works great! I also love them just for everyday cleaning! Picks dust up wonderfully!

 

• I no longer have to buy replacements for the Swiffer! So simple – throw them in the wash when needed. You can even turn them over and have a fresh side.

 

E-cloth Mop

• My floors have never been this clean…this easily. (if only my mom had this when I was a kid!)

 

• This is the best and easiest mop I have ever used. Just wet the mop under the faucet, wring it out and put mop handle on. The floor looks amazing and best of all no streaks. Very easy to clean mop head for next use.

 

• I love this mop, its so easy to use. The handle is nice and long but retracts to a nice compact size for easy storage. Its a really sturdy build and doesn’t feel flimsy at all.

 

• I have all hard floors in my house and 1 year old twins so the floors get super messy and need to be cleaned often. Now I can just use the 1 mop to dust/sweep and wet mop. The dry mop picks up the dust easily. The wet mop gets the grime. It takes a little elbow grease but what mop doesn’t. There were a few spots that were to stuck for the mop but I just got an e-cloth and easily got those. Goodbye old floor gadget pile!!

 

• I received an unexpected gift from my daughter which proved to be an E-Cloth Mop, delighting me because I love clean floors. I excitedly assembled the pieces, read the instructions and mopped the dining room floor. Deliciously, the floor came clean with one swipe, giving up its dirt and bacteria. No nasty buckets or dirty mops. No bleach or cleaners to assail my delicate nose. I am a happy mopper!

 

• I almost feel like Giselle from the movie Enchanted dancing around my house moping my floors! I could almost sing! (I don’t think the rest of the people in my house would enjoy that as much as I would though…)

 

Glass & Polish E-Cloth

• I don’t know how they work, but they sure do a great job! Spray the window with a little water and wipe with one of these cloths. The window is clean with no streaks! If the window has Windex or other cleaner residue, wipe with a damp general-purpose cloth first, then the polisher. I am actually enjoying cleaning windows. These things are great. The purple and pink colors are fun too and are exactly as pictured.

 

• I have a conservatory with no less than 19 separate windows…yes really. I used to hate the job of cleaning them. I can’t believe how quick and simple this makes cleaning windows! I can do my whole conservatory inside and out within 15 minutes!! Thank you!

 

• I used to hate cleaning windows… not anymore. It’s actually fun :) Seriously! I can’t believe that my windows are so clean and I only am using water. I’m actually afraid a bird is going to fly into my huge picture window in my front room because it doesn’t even look like there is glass there. No streak, fuzz, lint, or cloudiness. I love me some e-cloths!
